To achieve zero leakage between a moving member and a relatively stationary part, a wide
range of seals and rings are employed. However, the most common, least expensive and
versatile in nature is the Gland Packing. Gland Packing provides a dynamic seal for a rod,
shaft or stem via a housing or gland which is packed with resilient or semi-resilient material,
thus providing a localised contact area which offers a physical barrier to leakage.

Asbestos Packing

This asbestos yarn which is entirely different from the conventional asbestos fibre
is produced by wet method. It is easy to use because dust is prevented from rising to
the surface. It has great anticontamination effects. The yarn is used for asbestos rope,
asbestos tape, asbestos cloth fibre, electric insulation and for filling up heated parts.

Pure P.T.F.E. fibre yarns, impregnated with P.T.F.E. Dispension and a special
heat-resistant lubricating oil, are braided into square cross sections. It has
excellent abrasion resistance and extraordinary mechanical strength and is suitable
for high speed pumps of almost all chemicals.
Application: centrifugal pump, air and gas valves, concentrated acids, strong and oxidizing substances.

Carbon Fiber Packing

dry running capabilities, along with low co-efficient, of friction high thermal dissipation,
chemical compatibility, less down time, lower leakage rate, less shaft wear and lower
maintenance.
The low friction Carbon Fibre has exceptional high temperature resistance in a non-oxidising
environment.

PTFE Graphite Packing

G.F.O. fibre, an advanced material that disperses very small and good quality graphite
is braided with P.T.F.E. This packing combines the heat-resistance and low frictions of
highly purified graphite with the chemical resistance of P.T.F.E. so as not to cause damage
to the revolving shaft.
Applcation: high velocity water centrifugal pumps, steam oil, solvent, all products containing acid and alkalies, except oleum, nitric acid and turpentine, paper products.

PTFE Aramid Packing

Aramid fibres impregnated with T.F.E. Dispersion and treated with a special heat resistant
lubricating oil, are braided into square cross sections. Its outstanding tensile strength and
malleability contribute to its long life.
Application: pumps, slurry pump, valves, pistons, expansion joints, paper, water, stones, solvents, mild acids, alkalines, oil, universal use except for III oxygen, strong alkalines and oxides.

Tank Cover Packing

P.T.F.E. fibre which is excellent in durability against medicine, is braided to a
special rubber which is excellent in elasticity. It has excellent sealing capacility
even at low clamping pressure and is not easily deformed by repeated use. This packing
is used exclusively for hatch cover. This is a made-to-order packing.
Application: marine hatch cover packing.

Nasb. Wire Reinforced Packing

Non-asbestos fibres are mixed and braided. It has excellent lubrication and good
resistance against corrosion. It is suitable in places requiring corrosive solution
and heat dispersion. It is used for reciprocating machines, revolving machinery shafts,
